Axugaem2 v. 0.8.1 - the Catacombs and Catgirls Update!

Patch 0.8.1 (Bugfix patch. Scroll down to see v.0.8.0 patchnotes.)

- -

ADDITIONS

-Added a Travel Gem for Ironroot Castle's Throne Room that can be found in Raziel's Quarters following the dinner cutscene there (only if Evelyn and Claire are NOT dating.)

--

TWEAKS

-The Assassin enemy who drops the note that begins the Caretakers questline now appears more frequently in the lands surrounding Khur and Old Nyaren.

-Additionally, the Assassin now appears frequently in the dead forested areas on the world map and in the snowy woods outside Whiteshore.

-You can now ask Kortis and Selkie about the Assassin's note at some of the other places they appear.

-For Selkie, that means the Relic Museum (if you've donated a specific relic), the Royal Feldwich Aquarium (if you've donated enough fish to Lamel), and Skullbutter's Circus once you've completed her minigame there.

-For Kortis, that means the third floor of the Windrush Canyon Racing Commons (once you've rescued Natasha) and the second floor of the Royal Feldwich art gallery.

--

BUGFIXES

-The fish sprites in Crabshoot Bay now swim as intended rather than just sitting there.

-Fixed being able to start the 'Lilith is Still Missing' quest after Capital Bridge despite that being the time limit for the quest's availability (this would result in not being able to complete the quest due to other events in Crabshoot Bay not recognizing it at that point.)

-Fixed some naming inconsistencies with the 'Fires for the Forge' quest when accepting and completing it.

-Fixed a cutscene with Renee playing immediately after the regular intro cutscene and softlocking the game when the player enters Skullbutter's Circus for the first time.

-Fixed Caldryn's companion log crashing the game when opened.

-Fixed the Skill Ticket for Defibrulate not actually teaching Elmira the skill when used (the skill was categorized as 'special'. Added a second version categorized as 'magic' so Elmira can use it.)

-The job board in the Capital Twygmart now properly states that there are no new jobs when interacted with (it couldn't be interacted with before.)

-Fixed one of Raziel's sprites not disappearing properly during the dinner cutscene in her quarters if Evelyn isn't dating Claire.

-Fixed a bug with the 'Penitence Pals' quest where beginning it with Vespa in the party would cause Arci to become the party leader, leading to all sorts of visual bugs throughout the quest.

VERSION 0.8.0 (CATACOMBS AND CATGIRLS)

- -

ADDITIONS

-Added a continuation of the Caretakers questline that begins by reading the Assassin's Note dropped by the Assassin encounter on the World Map.

-Three new quests have been added to the questline, with more planned for the next update!

-Penoculus, the secret underground headquarters of the mysterious Caretakers organization, can now be explored once the player has completed the first of the new Caretaker quests!

-Fang, the mercenary appears in the Penoculus Lobby and offers repeatable item collecting jobs that can be turned in for Marble Eyes, a form of currency specific to the Caretakers. Mungo, the pigman archer also appears in the lobby and will offer small bounty jobs in a future update.

-Marble Eyes, the form of currency obtainable by completing jobs and quests for the Caretakers, can be exchanged for new items, weapons, and armour, as well as other forms of currency such as gold, Biricoins, and Arena Tokens.

-The 'Bloody History' quest is now finished and can be completed, wrapping up the storyline involving Clark, Esther and the vampires of Rotwald.

-Rotwald Manor can now be explored if the player has reached that stage of the quest. The Manor is a puzzle-themed dungeon featuring several cutscenes, bits of relationship content, two new minibosses and one new boss all with brand new artwork (also a fight with Vyle, who does not have new artwork), plus some bonus Kira content!

-Esther now has unique sprites to properly capture her ghostliness!

-Skullbutter's Traveling Circus will now set up shop on the plains near Leslie's House following the conclusion of the events in Khur. However, it won't finish setting up until after the events at Capital Bridge.

-The circus is a quest/activity hub that a couple of the newly added quests pass through. It also contains a couple of small individual quests as well as a new minigame (featuring Selkie) and plenty of other miscellaneous interactions and goodies!

-Added a new potential encounter to the Fire Gauntlet in Karen's Arena.

-If the player has defeated the optional boss in Rotwald Manor, there is a chance that boss will appear instead of the Foreman encounter in the second round of the gauntlet.

-Added three new potential encounters to The Vore Gauntlet in Karen's Arena.

-There is now a chance to enter The Sinister Shadowman encounter instead of the Succubus Hustler encounter in the second round of the gauntlet.

-If the player has completed the Caretakers Initiation quest, there is a chance to enter the Glutton Alpha encounter instead of the Linda encounter in the first round of the gauntlet.

-If the player has completed the Rings under the Eyes and Mug quest (the new Renee quest), there is a chance that the final encounter of the gauntlet will be someone other than Smish...

-Added a new quest for Claire/Vespa as a followup to the 'freezer scene' in the Royal Kitchen, with a new spear weapon as a reward for completion.

-Added the final act of the Vespa/Leslie relationship content arc!

-A third date with Leslie is now available. This one is a double date involving Vespa, Leslie, Claire, and either Claire's current gf or Amber if she has no gf. The double date delves deep into Vespa's backstory and contains a stupid amount of variation dependent on who Claire is (or isn't) dating, as well as a brand new bossfight.

-Following the double date, a variation on the new Claire/Vespa quest will become available with the same reward but more Veslie-specific cutscenes.

-Completing this version of the quest will unlock new dialogue options for Leslie when visiting her house. These options include a new togglable cosmetic feature for Leslie as well as the option to feed her live instead of cooked fish!

-Added a variable to track the number of fish given to Leslie if she and Vespa are dating. A book that shows this number will appear on the second floor of Leslie's house once the option to give Leslie fish is unlocked.

-Added two more variables to do with the amount of live fish Leslie's eaten while dating Vespa. Once that option is unlocked, the book on the second floor of Leslie's house will begin displaying these variables too.

-Added a new quest involving Renee and Claire going to Skullbutter's Circus!

-This quest can be accessed regardless of who Claire is dating. If she is dating Nell, Abby, or Evelyn (or if Diet Mode is on), the quest will be immediately available after first meeting Renee. Otherwise, it will become available following the newly added feeding session.

-Most of the circus attractions have unique dialogue based on whether or not Renee is present.

-The quest delves deep into Renee's backstory, introduces a new minor antagonist, and features a final boss fight with brand new art (including a vore alt!)

-Following the completion of the new quest, Renee will appear in the Tent, offering coffee and also her belly (if Claire is single or her girlfriend is ok with it)!

-Added new Evelyn content!

-Added a date between Claire and Evelyn that officially establishes their relationship.

-Added new relationship dialogue and the option to feed Evelyn desserts in the Tent once she and Claire are officially dating.

-Added a second weight gain tier for Evelyn if she eats enough desserts and/or fattening fruit! This tier will only unlock via cutscene in the Tent after unlocking her alternate outfits, and it will also prevent her from switching back into her armour, since her armour just be too tight (there is an easter egg for if Evelyn hits this weight tier while wearing her armour though~)

-Added a new cutscene for Evelyn if she eats a Gallonmelon after her alternate outfits have been unlocked!

-Added some relationship content between Evelyn and Queen Raziel that can be accessed regardless of whether or not Claire and Evelyn are dating.

-This content can be unlocked by talking to Raziel in the Throne Room and repeatedly selecting the 'Evelyn wants to say hi' option.

-If Evelyn is single, she can eventually enter a serious relationship with Raziel. There will be more content for this in the future, but for now, it mostly means a few fun little scenes and a new pair of 'panties' that only Evelyn can equip.

-Added a bit of new Arci relationship content!

-If the player talks to Arci in the Tent while she and Claire are dating, Arci will now offer to have an open relationship with Claire! This means that Claire can have romantic relationships with various NPCs which would normally only be accessible if she were single!

-This also means that while dating Arci, Claire can date an additional party member if they are willing to share her with Arci: aka Abby or Vespa (if the player hasn't refused to date Vespa already.)

-Added a special option to the Gallonmelon item if Claire is dating Arci that will allow Claire to feed Arci up to five Gallonmelons in one sitting!

-Added new art assets for when Arci eats one or more Gallonmelons (in the Tent or as part of Lady Galatea's Dewfolk research.)

-The new Arci assets were done by the wonderful ClinkoClinko! Check out their other work if you like literally any of the fetish-related themes in this game. You will not be disappointed!

-Added much more content for players looking to do a 'single Claire' playthrough (one in which Claire doesn't date anyone in the party but instead is able to fool around with various NPCs. This content is mostly also available while dating Arci if Claire has had the open relationship convo with her.)

-Added new content for Claire and Amber, the redheaded maid on the porch outside the Cat's Cradle restaurant in Costa Del Nyan!

-Added a second lunch event that can be accessed by talking to Amber after surviving the events in Khur.

-Depending on how the two lunches go (aka if one or both end up with Claire and Amber hooking up), the player can access new dialogue options with Amber following the second lunch! The more the player interacts with Amber, the closer she and Claire will grow! Note that this content won't appear if Claire has a gf.

-Added a 'secret' option to feed Amber if very specific conditions are met over the course of the game. First, Claire and Amber have to hook up at least once. Second, Vespa and Leslie have to be dating. Third, if Claire is SINGLE during the Double Date with Vespa and Leslie, she'll be matched up with Amber (this won't happen if she's dating anyone, even Arci). Afterwards, the option to feed Amber will appear when talking to her at the Cat's Cradle.

-If the player manages to unlock the 'feed Amber' option and talks to Amber about it, they'll receive keys to her apartment, where Claire and Amber can have numerous 'spicy' interactions and miscellaneous relationship moments.

-Added a new feeding session with Renee if Claire is single, has had the open relationship convo with Arci, or has asked for Vespa's permission (if she and Vespa are dating.)

-Added an additional feeding session and spicy interactions with Renee in the Tent that can only be accessed when the same above conditions are met (and once the new quest involving her has been completed.)

-Added a bit of bonus Anya content in the Shae Residence after the player has completed the Secrets Buried Deep quest.

-Added some new artworks to the Royal Feldwich's Rooftop Gallery that can be unlocked via the new Anya content by feeding her enough of a certain item...

-These new artworks are also by ClinkoClinko! Thank them profusely for their service to Anya fans everywhere!

-Added a new quest chain that explores the relationship between Arciella and Vespa!

-The first quest can be started in the Tent after completing Capital Bridge by asking Arci if she has any jobs.

-Turning the first quest in with Vespa in the Tent will begin the second of the two quests, where you'll be able to play as Vespa and gather supplies with Arci in a brand new location in Ironfruit Jungle!

-Implemented special training with Nell in Bablo's Dojo! If the player agreed to let Nell give Claire advice on her combat technique in the Sand Swamp, the training will continue from the previous fight against Nell aboard the Grinning Demon. If not, Nell will repeat her offer from the Sand Swamp, and if the player accepts, she'll summarize what she would have said in the previous two fights if the player had accepted earlier, then proceed to the new fight.

-The new fight with Nell is a grudge match. Completing it has a chance to grant Claire and Nell new skills depending on Nell's approval rating at the time.

-If Nell wins and/or has an approval rating of greater than 50, she will learn Kalanar's Crescent upon completing the training. This powerful skill costs 80 TP and is a strong dual attack against a single enemy that also invokes Kalanar's Rage when used!

-If Claire wins and/or Nell has an approval rating of greater than 50, Claire will learn Fireforce Strike, Frostforce Strike, and Voltforce Strike. These three skills cost 15 TP each and are normal attacks that deal fire, ice, and thunder dmg respectively. They also grant Claire fire, ice, and thunder weapon when used, respectively.

-Added two long interactions with Ashley in the Tent at 75 and 90 approval respectively.

-Added a new quest involving Cedric that can be unlocked by speaking to him in the Tent after completing Rotwald Manor (if his approval rating is 75 or higher.)

-Added new dialogue options for Cedric in the Tent once his approval is 75 or higher.

-Cedric now learns a new skill, Hemhorrage, at level 20. This spell deals heavy nature damage to a single target and inflicts a bleed status on them. A target that is bleeding will lose 25% of its MHP each turn! This effect will not work on elementals and other bloodless enemies.

-Elmira now comes with the Devour.exe skill!

-Devour.exe costs 100 MP and has a 70% chance to devour most enemies. Unlike other devour skills however, the devoured enemy loses far less HP per turn while inside Elmira, and Elmira does not regain any health while devouring (this is cuz her stomach's artificial and inferior to real stomachs and I have to go now because she's at my door with a baseball bat.)

-For existing playthroughs, returning to the world map should automatically add the skill to Elmira's 'catalogue'.

-Added two new random dialogue variations each for Nell and Vespa when using Devour (and when they've digested their prey.)

-Added an early game 'let's rescue Linda' quest to the Quest Journal to help guide the player from post-Grok all the way to Kalvarr Prison. This quest probably won't display properly on old saves.

-Added a new small early game cutscene to Costa Del Nyan at night, just before entering the Del Nyan Caves. This scene fills in a few gaps in the story, specifically regarding the suspicious men in the Del Nyan Harbour. If the player has Nell in the party, the scene also involves vore and better establishes how the party handles that facet of Nell's character.

-Added a couple of Abby quests to Costa Del Nyan (after completing the caves) and Crabshoot Bay (after rescuing Abby) respectively. These quests can only be completed prior to certain story events because they involve asking the locals if they've seen Abby's friend Lilith. Completing these quests soon after accepting them will earn you Abby approval and Nyan Taffy! Choosing to ignore them will eventually result in failing them and losing approval with Abby.

-The fight with the Bulback Nymph in Little Iron Mine can now be replayed any number of times once the Nymph's Brew quest has been completed (and if Claire and Abby are still dating.)

-Updated the cutscene after the bossfight using some of the new sound effects and Abby sprites added as of this update!

-Made it a little easier to find someone to ask about the Caretakers for the Put Your Dagger Away quest. In addition to Selkie, you can now ask Kortis about the Assassin's note by talking to him in his office after completing the Water Temple.

-In addition, the Put Your Dagger Away quest and the Taking Care of Business quest have been condensed into a single quest to make room for the early game main questline in the spot above it. This shouldn't cause any real gameplay issues, but if you find that it has, please report the issue in #bug-reports on the Axu2 Discord!

-Added more spectators and ambient stonebird race effects to the Vespa date event atop Windrush Canyon's Grandstands. Also updated some of the dialogue for those events.

-Added a flower vendor to Westhaven Hall who sells a new bouquet with stats slightly greater than those of the Sunflower Bouquet.

-Added new artwork (adapted from old linework) for Elarel, Lady of the Depths, including a few different face graphics for her! Also added a character card that appears when the party meets her at the end of the Water Temple.

-Added new artwork for Galatea, the Faunaherd, including a face graphic for her. Also added an early introduction to her during the elemental council scene, in which she now plays a significant part.

-Added new artwork for the Rat King's Shadow boss!

-Added new artwork for Lupita (Lulu), Mistress of the Night Market, including a face graphic for her.

-Added new enemy artwork for the Ravenous Catshark enemy!

-Added a metric ton of new character sprite (belly) variations, faces, and (stomach/gulping/burping) sound effects!

-Claire, Arciella, Abby, Vespa, Evelyn, Leslie, Renee, Esther and Kira are the major recipients of these new art assets, which you'll be able to see throughout the new content and in some of the older content as well.

-Added several new sprite variations for Gato and both races of pigman NPCs! Huge thanks to Errornulll for doing these. If you're looking to get some solid, inexpensive spritework done, give Errornulll your business! You can find them on DeviantArt.

-The Companion Logs have a new look! In addition to approval rating and relationship status, each party member's log now also displays an infographic with a picture of that character and some basic facts about them!

-Added a character card for Ashley when she's first introduced (not sure why she didn't have one before tbh!)

TWEAKS

-Removed even more extraneous files from the Axu2 game folder (if the folder size is smaller than those of previous updates, this is why.)

-Moved a couple of quests and questlines around in the Quest Journal to make room for some new early game quests near the top of the list. This shouldn't cause any issues, but if you experience any problems involving the Kira's Sister and Put Your Dagger Away quests and/or any of the new quests, again let me know in #bug-reports!

-Tweaked the Iambic Calamity quest to begin when the player first talks to Elmira after rescuing Abby from prison, rather than after the player meets with her and the sonic elementals in Windrush Canyon. This may cause minor issues with how the quest shows up in older saves, but it shouldn't affect any of the quest's events or the ability to obtain the quest rewards and recruit Elmira.

-Made several small additions, updates, and changes to scenes throughout the early game to make them more interesting, consistent, and enjoyable:

-Revised and cleaned up a bit of the dialogue between Abby and Captain at the start of the game.

-Added a couple of rocks and a chest containing a Brapple to the Flowery Hill map at the start of the game (partly to prevent the player from talking to the scarecrow before the battle tutorial, since using the bomb it gives you on Sparky kind of ruins the point of that segment.)

-Skipping ahead to the Church of Vexus during the game's opening will now cause Carrie, Clark, Lani, and Linda to each gain 2 levels before the fight with Nell. They will also gain 20 TP each at the start of the fight.

-Skipping ahead also now adds two Surpris Fruit, two Magic Water, and one Holy Water to the player's inventory.

-Added a some more little effects and lines of dialogue to the Church of Vexus Scene to make it more immersive and consistent with some of the game's later cutscenes.

-The sign at the Crossroads outside Grok now actually gives directions.

-Added a few minor environmental details and small interactions to the Lower Grok and Tower City areas to flesh them out and make their level of detail more consistent with later areas in the ganme.

-Added a few lines of dialogue for Abby throughout the game's opening to better establish her unique eating habits.

-Similarly, added some more dialogue near the end of the game's opening that establishes Nell's voracious gluttony (and the concept of voracious gluttony as a whole.)

-Added a bit of dialogue early on pointing out the fact that Claire is inexplicably walking around wearing flippers. Because that makes more sense than just changing her design to be less nonsensical, of course.

-Added a couple of NPCs to the upper floor of the Del Nyan Megamall who are engaged in a very important philosophical debate.

-Updated a lot of dialogue between the Costa Del Nyan and Sand Swamp segments, including the scenes where Kortis is introduced, to make it more consistent with later scenes and the plot of the game as a whole.

-Skazili's Hut has had a visual and audio overhaul so that it better fits the vibe of Skazili himself. Cutscenes in the hut have also been tweaked a bit for similar reasons.

-Updated and added to the elemental council scene. Ideally it's a little more visually interesting and easy to follow now and does a better job of introducing all the relevant characters and their relationships.

-Added a stuffing-themed easter egg on the Prison Ship map when playing as Abby, to help hammer home her unusual appetite a little earlier.

-Added some minor interactions with various objects throughout Kalvarr Prison.

-Added some extra dialogue when first meeting Vespa that hints at how tall she is. Because she tall.

-You can now talk to Linda through the bars in the Grinning Demon's Brig. Additionally, if you devoured every demon during the Kalvarr Prison Break, Linda now makes a comment on how much she ate if you talk to her in the Brig after.

-If you devoured every demon during the Kalvarr Prison Break, Linda will now sport a tummy during the first half of the Grinning Demon segment.

-Updated some of the dialogue with Nell in the Grinning Demon's Brig.

-Tweaked some other miscellaneous dialogue throughout the Grinning Demon segment.

-If Nell gains enough weight to reach her second weight tier early in the game, the cutscenes at that point should now reflect that properly.

-Added a small easter egg during the conversation with Nell in the Grinning Demon's Brig if she's reached her second weight tier by that point.

-Revised the dialogue between the party and Lady Elarel after completing the Water Temple. It was previously not very interesting and somewhat hamfisted (in my opinion) for such an important scene. The new dialogue should hopefully make it flow more naturally.

-Similarly revised the dialogue during the Vexus and Vico segment post-Water Temple. This segment should now do a better job of foregrounding the events in Khur and Capital Bridge as well as the relationships between the characters involved in the segment.

-Extended the timer for each Iron Gut Contest to make them a bit more forgiving!

-Rounds one and two have had their timers extended by an additional five seconds.

-Round three's timer has been extended by an additional ten seconds!

-All 'Nell' enemies in the game now use a handful of unique variations on the regular attack skill that are more Nell-themed, instead of just 'Nell attacks!'

-Similarly added a unique dual attack for Nell enemies.

-Fleshed out the training segments between Nell and Claire in the Sand Swamp and Grinning Demon brig respectively. These segments now have a running dialogue through them explaining what Nell actually wants to teach Claire, forming a discernable arc with the new special training fight in Bablo's Dojo.

-Increased the exp gained from defeating one of the Grinning Demon's Brig Rats from 22 to 75.

-Tweaked the stats of the merfolk enemies fought on the Grinning Demon.

-Decreased the Merleen Figurehead's ATK from 55 to 52.

-Decreased the DEF of the Mer Duelist from 45 to 35 and increased its AGI from 25 to 35. Decreased the chances of the Duelist performing the 'Mer Dual attack' in combat relative to his other skills.

-Decreased the DEF of the Mer Shellsinger from 40 to 30.

-The Westhaven Murder Mystery is now its own quest that can be tracked in the quest log! This should hopefully make it easier to progress through and solve the mystery within the given timeframe.

-Increased the timer for each day of the Westhaven investigation from 4 to 10 minutes.

-The previously broken miniquest 'Architecture of the Gate' is now part of the Murder Mystery quest! Finding and returning the book to Bartholemew shouldn't cause any questlog bugs now.

-Updated Bartholemew's dialogue while in his cell. He now drops tiny hints based on which stage of the investigation the player has completed.

-The 'Architecture of the Gate' book can now also be returned to Bartholemew after the crisis in Westhaven if the player didn't return it to him during the investigation.

-Revised and updated most of the dialogue and events throughout the Westhaven arc to make it more immersive and consistent with the rest of the game.

-Added some minor interactions with various objects throughout Westhaven.

-Adjusted the Magma Tunnel map slightly so that the player cannot fight the Avatar of Scarring Flame until they've accepted the relevant quest from Ferra. Also updated some of the quest's scripting to make it slightly easier to follow.

-Updated the cutscene in Rigorfall Castle in which Pandara is introduced. Her presence and dialogue are now a little more menacing like they are in Pandara's Sphere.

-Updated Leo's dialogue and feeding scenes in the Old Nyar Inn using some of the sound effects that have been added to the game lately.

-Slightly reduced the random encounter rate throughout Blightwood (again.)

-Capital City is now completely closed off until after the battle for Capital Bridge is completed (the player was previously able to enter the square.)

-Updated some of the Leslie feeding scenes to use a few of the newly added gulp and stomach sfx.

-Very slightly reduced the ATK, MAT, and DEF of the Rat King's Shadow boss.

-Also fixed a bug where the Rat King's Shadow could be devoured.

-Very sligtly reduced the ATK of the Cannibal Rat enemies that spawn prior to and during that fight.

-Reduced the MHP of the Rampaging Earth Golem enemy from 3000 to 2800.

-Raised the LUK of several non-engorged versions of vore enemies (particularly those in the Vore Gauntlet) to make it less likely that party members will resist being eaten.

-This will also increase the likelihood of these enemies applying other status ailments as well, but only if they haven't eaten anyone. The exception to this is vore enemies who don't change form (such as Ula.)

-Increased the TP cost of Ashley's Weeping Lily skill from 15 to 18.

-Ashley's Rebel Rush skill now generates a tiny bit of TP when used.

-Reduced the TP cost of Evelyn's Rushdown skill from 30 to 20.

-Slightly reduced the ATK boost given by the Obsidian Axe, Crimson Axe, Obsidian Flail, and Gigantic Hammer weapons.

-Slightly reduced the ATK boost given by the Holy Beam and Runestaff weapons.

-Reduced the ATK boost given by every katana weapon except the generic katana and Cabran Heirloom weapons.

-Increased the ATK boost given by every greatsword weapon.

-All small shields in the game that raise the wearer's Evasion now say so in their description (this was most of them, minus some of the quest reward shields.)

-All large shields in the game that raise the wearer's Crit Evasion (a parameter that reduces the wearer's odds of being critted) now say so in their description (again, this was most of them.)

-Buffed and fixed up the Titan Shards!

-'Titan Shard' is now its own category of armour that can be worn by all characters except Carrie, Linda, and Vexus (the temporary party members.)

-Elarel's Embrace now actually reduces incoming water damage (this was a bug!)

-Elarel's Embrace also now properly states that it raises the wearer's MMP by 50 while equipped.

-In addition, Elarel's Embrace now raises the wearer's MEV (Magic Evasion) by 5% while equipped.

-Zephryn's Boots now properly state in their description that they raise the wearer's evasion while equipped (they did before but didn't say so anywhere).

-The Crown of Aros now properly states in its description that it raises the wearer's MMP by 50 while equipped.

-Increased the ATK boost given by the Crown of Aros from 10 to 15.

-In addition, the Crown of Aros now also boosts MAT by 15.

-The Shard of Krom'Thor (not available in-game yet but it will be come the Earth Update!) now properly states in its description that it raises the wearer's MHP by 50 while equipped.

-In addition, the Shard of Krom'Thor now raises the wearer's Crit Evasion by 50%, halving the chance of them being critted.

-Updated a few other related pieces of equipment that aren't in the game yet but might be at some point!

-Reworked Leslie's Panties to be their own class of armour that only Vespa can equip.

-Adjusted the stat increases and decreases when equipping Leslie's Panties:

-Reduced the ATK decrease from -25 to -15.

-Reduced the DEF and MDF increases from 25 to 20.

-The Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Nature Core Jewels now increase the wearer's LUK by 1 when equipped, to justify their being referred to as 'good luck charms' in their descriptions.

BUGFIXES

-Fixed a bug where the game would softlock if the player entered the Tent after reaching a certain point in the game and having a high approval rating with Abby.

-(This bug is nasty and has been difficult to replicate, so if you encounter it in this new patch, let me know immediately and list as many contextual details as you can so I can give it another look!)

-Fixed a bug where talking to the reporter after the third Iron Gut Contest would softlock the game if Leslie and Vespa were dating.

-Cleaned up the events surrounding Evelyn Jr's different outfits in the Tent, to hopefully prevent the game from softlocking after the Toy Shop scene (if you encounter a softlock in the tent that you think is related to Evelyn, please let me know!)

-Fixed Cross's starting approval rating being set to 0 instead of 55 when he is recruited on Capital Bridge.

-For existing playthroughs where Cross has already been recruited, entering the Capital Bridge map will reset his approval to 55 one time only (this will only trigger if Cross's approval is 20 or less.)

-Fixed some early quests not displaying their objectives. These quests now display their objectives upon being accepted.

-Fixed the names of Ironfruit Jungle's lakes and farms not being current when viewed using the World Map in the Tent.

-If the player chose Nell but still somehow ended up with an additional companion log for Lani, returning to the World Map will now remove that companion log from the player's inventory.

-Removed an event in Costa Del Nyan's Residential area that would add Cross to the party when interacted with.

-If Vespa and Leslie are dating and the player has accepted the Evelyn Jr quest, they can now ask Leslie for some white fur when talking to her in the Cat's Cradle or in her house after completing the Spice of the Absent Mariner quest (previously you could ask her prior to completing that quest but not afterwards. Now you can do either.)

-Fixed being able to enter Leslie's house without having gone on the first date with her at Windrush Canyon. Attempting to enter prior to completin that date will now remind the player where to go instead of letting them in (this won't affect playthroughs where the player has already progressed further in their relationship.)

-The Rat King's Shadow boss now properly resists the 'deathmark' state, meaning it cannot be instakilled or eaten.

-Updated some of Kortis' dialogue in the Tent to reflect the world map being inverted.

-Updated the signs in the Sand Swamp to reflect the world map being inverted, and added a bit of reminder dialogue upon first entering the area.

-The beds in the Grinning Demon's Brig can now be slept in to restore health. Putting that one down as a bug since it should have been a feature to begin with.

-Fixed a bug that was causing the game to skip a cutscene on the Grinning Demon where Vespa tells the player to go get their rations from below deck. The scene should now play out properly instead of having Vespa just cryptically tell Claire she still has the growlies.

-Fixed a potentially nasty bug that mistakenly set the player's approval rating with Cedric/Ashley to 2 if they made a certain choice during a conversation with Galatea over the Insignia Amulet key item.

-Fixed Boh'Redd not actually taking the fish you collected for him upon turning in his first fishing list.

-Fixed Maddie not spitting up her victim when defeated in Khur.

-Fixed up the Knight of Westhaven's jump route when the player first enters the Highlands.

-Fixed a tiny bug with a tomato plant on the Tallard Farm where Abby would comment on some tomatoes being missing even if the player hadn't accepted the relevant quest.

-Fixed the chest behind the Tallard Barn not being reachable.

-Bartholemew now spins faster and will no longer spin in his sleep! (Also fixed a bug where a second Bartholemew would appear in his cell if the player saved and quit from that map then returned.)

-Tocatta and Nos Vertos can now be seen in Bartholemew's former cell following the crisis in Westhaven.

-Fixed a bug where leaving Westhaven during the Referring Dumb quest could lead to some potential weirdness during cutscenes. It is not impossible to leave Westhaven until all the ballots have been handed out (or eaten.)

-Fixed a minor bug where handing over Nemset's Shipment to Fang would conceal the Pearls for Swine Quest instead of marking it as failed.

-Fixed a minor bug where some of the tree lamps in the Blightwood Marsh were below instead of above the tree tiles and thus weren't showing up properly.

-Fixed the game bugging out if the timer ran out during the Bulback Nymph fight in Little Iron Mine.

-Fixed a minor bug where the catfish loving girl in the Feldwich Basement would skip her dialogue if the player talked to her after having donated enough different types of fish to Lamel.

-Fixed a visual bug on Capital Bridge where Claire would end up standing on Tam'Ra towards the end.

-Fixed a visual bug on Capital Bridge where Raziel would switch to a default angel sprite halfway through the evennt.

-Fixed a minor bug in the sewers where taking one of the top left exits from the room with the floating platforms and the air vent switch would transfer the player to the wrong map (the same map that taking the bottom-left exits would lead to.)

-Fixed a visual bug in the Sorceress' Lair where Abby's sprite wouldn't show up like intended depending on what dialogue option the player selected.

-The recipe for the Belch skill ticket has been changed from one Water and one Air Core Jewel to one Water and one Earth Core Jewel, as is listed on the recipe board.

-Fixed a minor bug where switching to Evelyn's Tube Top outfit using the dolls in the Tent would change her default character graphic to the sweater outfit instead.

-Fixed a minor bug where the player's movement speed would be temporarily lowered after completing the Elmira/Ashley research quest.

-The Modified Nail Gun weapon now has proper stats and will show up on the equipment screen (it was lacking both stats and a weapon type before, making it worthless.)

-Fixed the Ferrous Edge weapon not actually being recyclable despite its description. It can now be recycled properly.

-Fixed Cedric's Acrobowtics skill so that it accurately calculates how many of each type of crossbow you have in your inventory when used. This means the skill will now actually fire based on the number of crossbows you have in your inventory, excluding whatever you have equipped (up to four times max) rather than automatically firing four times like it was doing before.

-Elmira's Spark Shower skill now properly hits all enemies like its description states.

-Fixed a number of useless quest items not being removed from the inventory upon completing their respective quests (This won't take effect in playthroughs where these quests have already been completed.)

-This includes items such as the Double-Etched Sound Crystal, the Core Worm's Tooth, the Old Pickaxe, the Lost Mariner's Salts, the Rod Voucher, etc.

YAY FINALLY I WAITED FOR THIS UPDATE ETERNITY

(1 edit) (+1)

It warms my cheeks to see my glitch hunting actually causing a new mechanic to come into being. Even so, it saddens me to know all of my saves are officially glitched out the wazoo with how backwards and incorrect the triggers for them are. For crying out loud, on my Arci only save, I was getting Abby 'dating' dialogue for random events. The opposite happened on my Abby save. Plus, new dialogue and getting those extra quest items wiped is SO TEMPTING.

...I should honestly wait until the game's fully completed, seeing as how I intend to do one run for each dateable option.
