Axugaem2 V 0.8.5a (Bugfix Patch and a Couple Goodies)


Patch 0.8.5a - January 26th, 2025

ADDITIONS

-Two of the mysterious crystals in the Penoculus Archives are no longer so mysterious!

 -The 'Side Area' vore scene with nell can now be replayed via a crystal in the Archives' Lani/Nell Cluster, regardless of which route you chose.

  -This scene (and the original scene at the start of the game) now have brand new popup art courtesy of Genp! Thank you once again for the amazing art!

   -This art can also be viewed at the Royal Feldwich's Rooftop Gallery alongside the other Nell art, but only if you chose Nell's route at the start of the game.

 -The 'cleaning up Baba's Garden' quest can now be replayed via a crystal in the Penoculus Archives' Abby Cluster.


-If you've unlocked Evelyn Jr's upgraded versions, you can now read a detailed summary of what each of Evelyn Jr's outfits does by interacting with the dolls next to Evelyn in the Tent. These summaries include all stat boosts and reductions, which should make it easier to understand the accessory.

-Blackhand Cove, The Water Temple Depths, and miscellaneous other marine areas now have some additional decorations such as kelp, shellfish, and pirate flags. (I added this with version 0.8.5 but forgot to mention it in the patchnotes below.)


TWEAKS

-Reworked the way in which Ashley learns Vampirism. Instead of walking 9999 steps before leaving Blightwood, you now just have to leave Blightwood. (If you've triggered the dialogue between Nell and Ashley in Rotwald and then left Blightwood already without Ashley learning the skill, just return to the Blightwood Shore map and she'll learn it automatically.)

-Increased the odds of an enemy being Ashley's blood type from 33% to 66%.

-Carrie now uses a new character card during the Gusbusters intro (the card was in the game earlier, but I forgot to implement it, ehe)

-The timer during the Kalvarr prison break now only starts after you exit the kitchen.

-Lani and Jimi Bablo can now enter into a relationship if Lani is at her max weight. (Previously they could only enter into one is she was at her second-highest weight tier.)

 -Talk to Lani in Bablo's Dojo when she's at her max weight and select the 'Lani's chatting with Jimi' repeatedly to trigger this event.

  -If she's at her second-highest weight tier, you only need to select the option once, same as before.

-The date between Claire and Evelyn in the Seaview District is now properly configured for Diet Mode. Sorry for the oversight there!

-Added an additional bit of dialogue between Claire and Cedric if you approach him a second time after his and Renee's tea biscuit insanity.

-Reworked the dieting mechanic for Abby, Nell, and Vespa.

 -Weight loss is no longer based on parallel processes that track and compare steps. Instead, each time you enter the world map, the dieting variables of whoever's dieting will increase by 1. When a dieting variable reaches 4 or 5 (depending on the party member), whoever's dieting will lose weight and the variable will reset. This should have about the same effect as before, but with less of an effect on the game's performance since it's no longer reliant on parallel processes.


BUGFIXES

~Bugfixes Involving Softlocks, Collision issues, and other serious bugs~

-Properly re-enabled collision after you defeat Ferra during the Penitence Pals quest. If this results in you being stuck somewhere, you can disable and re-enable collision yourself by using the 'sparky, I'm stuck' choice within the 'debug options' part of the Training Sim key item.

-Interacting with Lilith's ship from the side the first time should no longer softlock the game.

-Similarly, talking to Nell/Lani in the Grinning Demon's brig should no longer lead to any potential softlocks.

-The quest 'One Weird Night' should no longer lead to a softlock during the cutscene between Claire and Sang if you already have a Golden Brapple in your inventory.

 -Also improved the burp and tummy sfx that play during that quest.

-The door to Vespa's room in the Royal Kitchen will no longer softlock the game if interacted with from the right (this could happen if Claire ended up in Vespa's bed after trying some of her food without having opened the bedroom door first.)

-The quest 'Little Kitty, Big Fish' should no longer cause a gameover if you defeat Meg while Clark is KO'd.

-Del Nyan's cats will no longer get in the way during the double date scene.

-Fixed Marilyn's portrait sometimes getting stuck on your screen upon presenting it to Renee.

-Exploring Renee's Cafe as Cedric and then switching back to Claire will no longer permanently disable menu access.

-Fixed a bug with the quest 'Closure' where interacting with Angie's monument head-on would lead to a softlock.

-Fixed a bug where talking to Nell from the left in the Penoculus Lobby after the Caretakers finale and with Iona's frozen skull there would lead to a softlock.


~Relationship/Dating bugfixes~

-Abby's approval rating will now -actually- skyrocket like it says when you enter into a relationship with her.


~Exploit fixes~

-The crater next to the Trolling Door in the Guscorp Tunnel map will no longer give infinite Soul Powder.

-It should no longer be possible to run off during the conclusion of the Fish Heads and Bilgewater event if you win without eating everything, which could lead to a number of bugs and exploits.

-Backing out of Evelyn's 'Let's Talk' menu in the Tent will no longer allow you to interact with her as if you're dating, unless you're actually dating.


~Minor bugfixes~

-Fixed a minor visual bug during the opening where Claire would wake up as Abby in Grunk.

-Fixed the use of bloating items triggering repeated dialogue from other party members not currently being targeted.

-Fixed Nell not having dialogue in Natasha's bathroom when she's at her new highest weight tier.

-Fixed Leslie handing out White Fur again after unlocking Evelyn Jr's upgraded versions.

-Anya no longer mentions having a shift at the Guscorp building if you talk to her in her room after the events at Capital Bridge.

-Fixed Claire's move speed being lowered after the first interaction with Anya in the Shae Manor Cellar.

-Fixed a bunch of parallel processes that were setting the default battle music to a higher volume than usual. Also changed these events back to autorun events, which should lead to less potential cutscene weirdness.

-Fixed one of the hookshot pillars in Baba's Garden not being available to grapple to from a nearby spot despite it making clear visual sense.

-You can now no longer use Let's Go Together! in Baba's Garden (it was leading to some sprite weirdness with full-tummied Abby.)

-Fixed a bug where the kelp in the Water Temple Depths map was freaking out if the player got close to Ula's spawn point.

 -Forgot to mention that kelp and other fun little ocean tiles have been added to the Water Temple Depths as of the most recent update.

-The Avatar of Scarring Flame will no longer summon an Incubus Tank on turn 4 while dead.

-Nell and Clark will now show up properly during the cutscene that plays the first time you visit Spire.

-The dialogue that plays upon defeating Mercy and/or Sally the first time during Caldryn's route should no longer play twice if you defeat them both at the same time.

-The Bloodwidow should now disappear properly after being defeated with Caldryn in the party.

-Added a box to the Rotwald Belfry to make clear that a certain space is in fact not a shortcut.

-Fixed a typo in one of Vespa and Spudly's conversations during the double date scene.

-Fixed Evelyn not showing up as fat during the dinners with Karen if she's at that weight tier.

-Fixed Ashley calling Claire \n[4] in the letter that starts the One Weird Night quest on Lani's route.

-Abby no longer calls Claire [n] if you reject her confession of love in the Tent.

-Similarly, Vespa now uses Claire's proper name when complaining about Giant Orchid Seeds during the Arci Got Ya Vespa quest.

-Fixed Vespa having the face of a crying Evelyn if you talk to Arci while she's passed out while you're high on bubble kelp.

-Cedric no longer has a line during the horrific Vespa dinner scene in the Tent if he isn't in the party.


ONGOING ISSUES

-The 'Let's Go Together' skill continues to be buggy! Be careful when using this skill, as it may lead to softlocks in certain cutscenes.

-There seems to be a chance for a 'stack too deep' error to trigger during Lady Favia's trial in the Air Temple, causing a crash. I'm not sure what's causing this error right now, so if you encounter it, let me know in as much detail as possible when it happened! Thank you!


POSSIBLE ISSUES

-Since I've changed a bunch of parallel processes to be autorun events, and some of these events were constantly fading in the screen, it's possible that this change might uncover some issues with cutscenes not fading back in properly after being completed. If you run into any such issues, let me know!

-One of Vespa's old face slots that is no longer being used for her face now contains a crying Evelyn face instead. This will lead to any remaining dialogue using that face slot showing Evelyn instead of Vespa. I've fixed one instance of this so far, but there may be others.

The scene of Nell devouring Iona was really wonderful

Will we see a fat Ashley in an upcoming update? And also Ashley devouring someone giant of similar size to Iona (with complete digestion)?

Fat Ashley makes a brief appearance during a Tent quest involving her and Elmira (if you've unlocked Elmira, that is.) She may get a permanent higher weight tier in the future, but I don't have any plans for that right this moment. And she's not really a vore character so she probably won't get a scene like Nell, but she'll get some sort of content that plays to her own unique traits eventually!
